Los Angeles, CA (April 15, 2005) - R&B powerhouse recording act Xscape has enlisted L.A. Entertainment to consult on the placement of their forthcoming new album, as announced today by Jim Ervin, CEO, L.a. Entertainment, Inc.

"What more can be said about an artist that sells platinum on each of their three album releases," related Mr. Ervin. "Xscape's talent and prowess for creating hits in the urban marketplace is obvious and their new album of material has already started garnishing attention at R&B radio stations nationwide. We are please to be working with Xscape and look forward to their continued success."

About Xscape
With three platinum albums and a slew of top 40 singles under their belt, the sultry R&B quartet, Xscape, is ready to release yet another spicy, seductive album, currently entitled Unchained. Sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott have reunited with Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and have added a new member, Keisha Miles, to round out their signature sound. Xscape has been busy booking live performances across the nation following the growing success of “What’s Up”, the first single off the new album. The group recently opened for Alicia Keys in Houston and just performed on 100.3 The Beat’s 15th Anniversary Birthday Bash at the Universal Amphitheater.

“The million dollar girl group” made their performance debut as an a cappella quartet at Jermaine Dupri's birthday party, and two years later found themselves with a platinum album, Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha. The single, “Just Kickin’ It” hit #1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Top 40 as well as #1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Singles. Their second single, “Understanding,” also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B chart.

The second Xscape effort, Off the Hook made platinum with top singles, “Feels So Good,” “Can’t Hang,” “Do You Want to?” and “Who Can I Run To?” which charted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop singles. Xscape released three singles from their third platinum album, Traces of My Lipstick, which all made it to the top 10 of the Billboard Top 100. Over the course of a few years, Xscape has collaborated with some of the most well-known R&B producers and song-writers in the business including: Babyface, Brian McKnight, Keith Sweat, Mariah Carey, and Diane Warren.

On Unchained, the fearsome foursome have upgraded their signature up-tempo grooves and slinky, heartfelt ballads with new twists, turns, and melodic complexities. To augment the impending release of the album, Xscape is producing a reality show also called Unchained, which follows their group dynamics, as well as their work ethic in the studio and on stage.
