Discovered as a young talent by the legendary Berry Gordy, Jimmy was welcomed into the Motown family in 1984 where he trained as a staff song writer and artist. He proceeded to write and produce for five platinum and three gold albums. He has written and arranged for James Ingram, Ray Parker, Jr., Lionel Richie, Rick James, among many others.
"This album is an urban A/C groove, with a heavy backbeat," says Jimmy of his new release.
"If Loving You Is Wrong,...I Don't Want To Be Right" is the albums first single. "This is a great song, originally recorded by Luther Ingram," Jimmy says. "It's about a man's struggle being in love with one girl, while also being torn by the love for his family.
